Barn Raising Recap

Barn Raising Recap

The barn raising on October 26, 2014 was a huge success. Friends, family, members of the community, and members of the Stoddartsville Preservation Society were on hand to help raise a bent of the Stull barn as part of its restoration.

The barn was originally built in 1875 by Lewis Stull and burned completely to the ground in 1959. The restoration began in 2013 and will be completed in early 2015.

This barn is just one historic structure in Stoddartsville. Many other ruins are being considered for future restoration following the archeological study next summer. Thanks to everyone who came out to help with the raising.
